Book Coaching Packages

Big stories need big support. Whether you’re shaping a bold new idea, drafting a first novel, or revising a sprawling manuscript, I offer coaching packages designed to meet you where you are and move you forward with clarity, structure, and momentum.

Speculative Fiction Boot Camp:
Project Plan in 3 Months

From Big Idea to Draft-Ready in 90 Days

Most writers start here. If you’re brimming with ideas but unsure how to begin, this planning-intensive package is for you. Over three months, we’ll clarify your genre, shape your concept, and build your Blueprint — a comprehensive project plan that captures the heart of your idea and translates it into a clear, actionable story structure. By the end, you’ll have a personalized roadmap that makes your ambitious novel feel not only possible, but inevitable.

What’s included:

  • Three 60-minute coaching calls (held monthly)

  • In-depth feedback on three Blueprint submissions, with both inline notes and an editorial letter

  • Email support throughout the program for guidance, encouragement, and accountability

Investment: $1,500

Best for: Writers in the early stages who feel overwhelmed by scope or stuck at page one.

The Cinematic Story Lab:
Monthly 1:1 Coaching

Plan and Draft Your Novel in 12 Months

For writers ready to bring a bold idea to life on the page, The Cinematic Story Lab provides sustained coaching over the course of a year. We’ll begin with a three-month story development phase, where we’ll create your Blueprint — a comprehensive project plan that captures the heart of your idea and translates it into a clear, actionable structure. With your Blueprint in hand, we’ll move into the drafting stage, where you’ll submit pages monthly and receive both written feedback and live coaching. Over twelve months, you’ll gain the structure, accountability, and encouragement you need to finally complete your draft.

Already have a Blueprint?
If you’ve completed one with me, we’ll skip the development phase and move straight into drafting. That means more time focused on your pages and fine-tuning your story as it comes to life.

What’s included:

  • Twelve monthly coaching calls (60 minutes each)

  • Feedback on up to 25 new pages per month, with inline comments and an editorial summary

  • Blueprint creation during the first three months (or immediate drafting if you already have a Blueprint)

  • Ongoing email support for light questions, encouragement, and accountability check-ins

  • A tailored process that balances structure with creativity, ensuring your vision remains intact as your draft takes shape

Investment: $7,200 (or $600/month)

Best for: Writers with a strong idea or messy draft who want expert support, accountability, and a clear framework to complete their first draft.

Revisions Roadmap

Developmental Feedback to Guide Your Next Draft

Finishing a draft is a huge milestone — but revision is where the real book emerges. If you’re unsure how to tackle your next draft, the Revisions Roadmap provides clear, actionable guidance. I’ll read your manuscript with a developmental lens and deliver feedback that highlights what’s working, where the structure or storytelling needs attention, and how to revise with purpose. Instead of spinning your wheels, you’ll leave with a focused plan and renewed confidence.

What’s included:

  • A detailed editorial letter (3–5 pages) outlining strengths, challenges, and next-step recommendations

  • Inline comments on key scenes or sections to illustrate feedback in context

  • One 60-minute strategy call to walk through your revision plan and answer questions

  • Email support for clarifications and resources following delivery

Investment: $750–$1,000 (depending on manuscript length and scope)

Best for: Writers with a completed draft — whether from The Cinematic Story Lab or on their own — who need a clear, structured plan to approach revision.

First Chapter Deep Dive

Focused Feedback on Your Opening Pages

Your first chapter is your story’s calling card — the part that sets expectations, establishes voice, and convinces readers (or agents) to keep going. In this one-time package, I’ll review your opening pages and give you clear, actionable feedback on how well your story promise, pacing, and voice are landing. You’ll walk away with insights you can apply immediately and a better sense of what kind of support might serve you next.

What’s included:

  • A close read of up to 2,500 words

  • Inline comments highlighting strengths, opportunities, and areas for clarity

  • A short editorial summary outlining big-picture feedback on story promise, voice, pacing, and engagement

  • 30-minute follow-up call to clarify takeaways and next steps

Investment: $175

Best for: Writers who want a professional check on their opening, or those curious about book coaching and looking for a low-commitment way to start.

Frequently

Asked

Questions

What is a book coach?

A book coach is like a partner in your writing process. Instead of working alone, you get feedback, structure, and accountability as you plan, draft, or revise your novel.

How is coaching different from editing?

Editing focuses on the manuscript, giving feedback on what’s already on the page. Coaching focuses on the writer, offering support, accountability, and strategy as you write or revise. I look at your pages too, but always to guide you through the process so you can keep moving forward with clarity and confidence.

Do I need a finished draft to work with you?

Not at all. I meet writers where they are — whether you’re just starting with an idea, working through a messy draft, or tackling revisions.

What genres do you work with?

I specialize in speculative fiction — especially writers who blend genres like fantasy, romantasy, gothic, magical realism, and dystopian.

What if I’m not ready for a long-term coaching package?

You can start small with my First Chapter Deep Dive, a focused critique of your opening pages. It’s a low-cost way to get actionable feedback and see how coaching support might help you.
